They say they welcome the public input but think the extension of the scoping process was too long? The original plan in the forest services Notice of Intent only provided 30 days for public comments and three meetings were scheduled back to back. See a great video of the Patagonia meeting. Thank god for the two citizens who spoke up, it was the start of the true public education.
