PUBLIC COMMENTS I took the time to review the Phone comments submitted as of August 3 2008 Out of 302 phoned in comments 235 (78%) were against the proposed Rosemont mine, 43 (14%) were for it, and 24 (7%) were inconclusive (either hang ups or could not figure them out) Here are a few of the comments I found especially interesting, they were made by ex mine employees, listen and see what you think comment number 66 ex mining employee opposed to the mine talks about environmental damage witnessed at mines comment number 129 ex mining employee opposed to the mine totally against the mine, should be preserved for future generations comment number 151 ex mining employee opposed to the mine doesn't want to destroy a pristine area comment number 164 ex mining employee opposed to the mine thinks damage to environment not worth a few jobs comment number 234 ex mining employee opposed to the mine worked as foreman in chemical dept, fired for trying to protect workers from hazards, buried cyanide, asbestos, at night would turn off the pollution controls. Very interesting. comment number 244 ex mining employee opposed to the mine believes we should protect the sonoran desert from the damage from mining.
