PHOTO TOUR OF ROSEMONT Here are some photos taken by Bob H. showing Rosemont in its current state, and the beginning of the damage.
Top of Gunsight pass. Gunsight pass is a destination for many. Rosemont mine owns it but thus far have continued to allow public access. View of the Green Valley mines from Gunsight pass You will find similar signs all over the place, even as far down as Box Canyon, warning that private property is ahead. We don't dispute that they own their property, however most roads in this area go through it. It is very unclear where their property lines are. More no trespass "GARBAGE" More gates in place. Barrels of stuff New roads. new gates Another technique to block access to the area. It is their land. Perhaps we can have the same consideration and block their access to OUR LAND We were told we were trespassing according to this subcontractor of Augusta's, we drove to this point on a National Forest service road, and there were no Private Property or No Trespassing signs to warn us. It was a National forest road. At the Vail forest service meeting we were informed that we are free to go on National Forest Land, does that include the road to access it? Notice the dust raised by the driller's support truck, lets multiply this by hundreds. There is a film of oil on this "cattle pond", It does exist on private land owned by Rosemont.
